Tumer on left femur

  The VA. tells me I have a tumer on my left femur.I did a bone scan,MRI.,Cat scan.They tell me that it is not cancerous but are going to do another MRI,and tell me they still are not ruling out cancer.I have been trying to find out for sure,but have not been told for sure.What should I do.

Did you find out anything? I am a military spouse and I had a Giant Cell Tumor of the right femur. I have a limb salvage proshesis now, kind of like the Bionic Woman , only I can't walk let alone run haha. I had all my surgeries at Wilford Hall in Tx.
1st you need to have the addional tests , then you need to figure out with your surgeon what your options are. I went with the "resection" , a glorified way of saying above the knee amputation because without my prosthesis which is hammered into my bone marrow cavity, I wouldn't have a leg to stand on. That is my attempt at humor.
Good luck to you and let me know if I can answer anymore questions. There aren't many of us with limb savage prosthesis , or at least I don't meet many. I do go to Walter Reed and visit the wounded soldiers though , that is something I treasure, especially now that my son is going over "there" for a 2nd tour.
