Uterine Sarcoma and HCG

.Hello,
I am a 43 year old surviver of uterine sarcoma with a family history of breast cancer. I am type 2 diabetic, with high blood pressure and about 100 pounds over weight. I was wondering if any form of the HCG diet would be safe for me?

Hi there!

I personally do not recommend the HCG diet for weight loss. Little is known about the efficacy or the safety of the drug; since there is no valid market research available yet. Also, AMA and the American Journal of Clinical Nutrition warns that hCG is neither safe, nor effective as a weight-loss aid. Common side effects include irritability, headaches, mood swings, blood clots and hormone changes etc. However, if you still plan to go ahead, I would suggest consulting your gynaeclogist, regarding the safety of the drug after considering the treatment you had undergone for uterine sarcoma.
