Woke up with a Lump, please assist!

Before I ask, I have a history of non-hodgkin's lymphoblastic lymphoma--hopefully not related or relevant.
Woke up one day to find a large lump the size of a golf ball on the left side of my neck, right where the hairline starts. It was very tender, hard, painful to sleep on, painful to turn neck and sore. Four days went by with same symptoms, but the last two days it shrunk and now it is the size of a pea with no pain of any kind. Should I be worried/see a doctor? I am concerned because I don't think there are any lymph nodes back there or anything that should swell for a good reason. Also concerned because of the nature of how instantaneous it came up one morning.
Please help, thank you for your time and reading!
