angular cheilitis

help please.
  i have really dry lips and crack in the corner of my mouth for about 2 month now. i look it up on line and it say i might have angular cheilitis. i when to the doctor and they give me hydrorcortisone 1% cream, i used the cream but it seem not working, i took vitamin B complex to see if it help but not thing help, what can i do to get rid of this symptom?

Your symptoms could be from sooooooo many things. First, stop using anything but plain toothpaste with fluoride. Nothing with baking soda, peroxide, whiteners, or Tartar controls. Also, no mouth rinses, Listerine etc.

Second use only hypo-allergenic face wash and no topical creams.

Angular chelitis is associated with a Vit C deficiency, but rare in todays world.

Does your tongue have an unusual color or coating...you may have a fungus infection which need to be treated with a Nystatin rinse prescribed by your dentist.

How often are you using chap sticks? and what kind to you use? mill429
