my boyfreind, (25) told me that a couple of years ago he was helping pull down the ceiling tiles from of part of an old peoples home in oxford, and that as he was doing so loads of white powder stuff fell all over him and he definatly inhaled some. there was only him and his boss present at the time, the boss apparently exclaimed '**** that looks like asbestos' and when my boyfreind freaked out at this comment the boss then changed his mind and told him not to worry. the boss no longer works there.
i am extreemly worried by this story and wondered what are the risks are if this was asbestos?
is there any symptons i should look for?
is there a test that could be done?
should i send him to the doctors?
and also he smokes weed and could this worsen the effect on his lungs if there is asbestos in them?
please help.
worried and confused.
thanks
