birthmark changing-cancer?

For the past 2 yrs or so ive noticed my birthmark on my buttocks changing first it started to bleed profusly (I'm sure i did some poking at it) but the amount of blood i could not believe.ever since then it has not healed and looks like another ulcer type sore has formed below it.I am suffering from numerous issues that we have not found a cause. I know that i have alote of bone pain in my legs and i had veins removed from 1 leg.During my menstral cycle lately i am having extreme pressure in buttocks and groin extending into legs it is painful. now i am awakened at night from extreme foot pain on that side.I just feel like i am breaking down physically without a reason is very frusterating. there is other things ,this is just all bothering me more cause my birthmark looks horrible now.Cancer runs BIG time in our family, my mom had it 2 times (ovarian and cervical)
not sure of skin cancer but there is tongue cancer, lung, and stomach also.I am suppose to have it removed but am scared that we have waited to long thus far. If anyone has been through skin cancer from a birthmark or anything,i would appreciate to hear there storys!
thanks!!!

A few weeks after I was born i developed a common cafe au lait birthmark on my hand. About 6 years after it started to resemble a cookie (its tan) as it got larger, darker, and has dark spots (like chocolate chips). The overall birthmark is barely an inch wide, but it is asymetrical. It also has a small bump that blends in with the rest of it. I am seeing a dermatologist soon. But since I am still a teen I doubt it is skin cancer. I am curious as to what kind of birthmark it is because it doesn't look anything like a cafe au lait birthmark...any suggestions?

Moles can bleed a lot if they are damaged but it is wise to get it checked out.
Bleeding is a fairly late symptom for melanoma.  Has it changed shape or colour as well?
