bowel disorders during chemo

my husband has just finished the 3rd of his 4 treatments (CHOPR) and is having terribel problems with his digestive system. He either is constipated or has very severe diarrhea. We cn't seem to have a happy medium. Any suggestios and will he get back to normal after treatment ends?

its been 3 years since I had CHOPR, 8 treatments. I am in that situation right now. I go 2 days feeling bloated and then I take a laxative and the next day its diarrhea. During my CHOPR  I had it bad also. Mostly diarrhea. You feel constipated because your system is weak. Give it a while after the last treatment, things should change. Tell his Chemo doctor about the problem, they may suggest something. My situation now is due to medications I take for problems after the Cancer. Hopefully soon I can get off those meds  and I can also return to normal. My prayers go out to you and your husband.
