burning itchy lyphoma - Cures?

Does anyone have any remedy for the burning and itching caused by non Hodgkins lymphoma cancer?  I am going crazy and want to rip my skin off my body.  My doctors say they have no more medication to try to reduce it.  I just have to wait 1 1/2 weeks till my next chemo session and hope it goes away after that...  Please help!

Thanks GaGirl2008

I will ask my doctor about this drug.  I have been itching for 9 months and had my first chop-r 2 weeks ago.  That is when the itching changed to burning ...  One of the doctor's theory is that it is the tumour disintergrating.  I dont suppose my periphel nerves would be growing during chemo but it is all so new and so weird for me, I dont know what to think.

I am very glad to hear that you are in remission - heres to you staying that way!

I had very severe itching all over that started after my last rchop treatment. After steroids, antihistamines etc and visits to allergist and dermatologist I was put on attarax. It did reduce it some and it stopped after 5 months. Now they say it probably was peripheal nerves growing back. I know what you mean about going crazy with the itching. I still have scars from scratching. Good news. I am still in remission (stage 4 nonhodgkins) best of luck to you.
