last week one of her x rays showed a shadow on the left collar bone, doctors said that it could be cancer, however my mother had a x ray done over 10 years ago which showed there to be some damage to her collar bone and has had bone problems for years,
my question is how likely is it to be cancer as mentioned she had problems with the collar bone 10 years ago when doctors said it was like rusting away( sorry dont know the medical term) i just find it odd that cancer would go to the same bone that was damaged from before, and i am hopefull that it is not cancer but just her old issue
just to add to that, my mum had her routineRoutine sputum culture blood tests done 2 weeks before the x ray and the blood test came out absolutley fine
any help would be greatly appreciated
just to further add to this the only symptom my mother is showing is bone pain but she has had bone pain for many years but i beleive that since she has discovered that there could be cancer in her bone her mind is thinking about it more which is making the pain in the particular area seem greater,
my mother is showing no other symptom of bone cancer, e,g, weight loss if anything she has gained weight, etc etc
any help would be appreciated, thank you in advanced
