chemo and liver pain

by concerned gf, May 03, 2007 12:00AM
My boyfriend was recently diagnosed with primary liver cancer.  He finished his first round of chemo about 34 days ago which was given directly to the liver tumors(4).  About 7 days ago he started having excruciating pain in the liver area.  Although the Dr.'s told him he would have some pain, it is far more than anticipated.  Is this a normal reaction in some people?

Update:  after an emergency room visit this evening the Dr. has diagnosed Pancreatitas.  My boyfriend has never had this condition....could it be related to the liver cancer or chemo?
