Good day, what is the indication of having a thin endometrial stripe is equals to 0.8cm based on transvaginal ultrasound, also having abnormal uterine bleeding after mentruation period?

Hi!
An endometrium about 0.8cm thick indicates endometrial hyperplasia. The thickening of endometrium per se is not a useful guide to classify hyperplasia. Symptoms of bleeding and histology of endometrium decides whether it is a simple hyperplasia or likely to be cancerous. Hence, you need to find this out from your doctor. Simple hyperplasia usually responds to hormone therapy and D & C.  If cancer is diagnosed then depending on the stage and type of cancer the treatment may involve D & C, chemotherapy, hysterectomy or removal of uterus and radiotherapy.  Please discuss with your doctor. Take care!

The medical advice given should not be considered a substitute for medical care provided by a doctor who can examine you. The advice may not be completely correct for you as the doctor cannot examine you and does not know your complete medical history. Hence this reply to your post should only be considered as a guiding line and you must consult your doctor at the earliest for your medical problem.
