ependymoma

Hi. My son is 3 years old and has an Ependymoma brain tumor. yesterday 30th july 2010 he had hir 3rd brain surgery to try to remove the tumor. Unfortunatelly they again couldnt get it all. there is just under 1cm of tumor sandwiched between the 5th nerve and a group of veins adn they conot get between there without doing him serious harm.

As soon as he has recovered from this surgery he is going to undergo 6 weeks of radiation therapy adn then 3 months of chemotherapy. He has already has 7 weeks (2 rounds) of chemo which was proved innefective as the tumor actually grew in this time.

I'm wanting a different set of opinions from the ones my son's oncologist and neurosurgeon are providing. what do you think of this? is there hope for my son, that radiation will kill this lump?

What do you think his chances of remission and ultimatelly survival are?

thankyou.
