Hi there!

Well, without a clinical evaluation it would be difficult to say. For finger swelling usually imagineg studies such as X-rays/ CT/ MRI are used to determine the etiology. Biopsy or FNAC is used when the imaging studies are inconclusive or a malignant potential is suspected. The best I can suggest is to wait for the results to come up.
Hope this is helpful.

Take care!
