I discovered a small lump (about 1 cm) in my lower neck this weekend. It is firm and a little rubbery. (I can't tell if the give is because of the tissue under it or if the lump itself is rubbery) The lump is rounded with smooth edges and feels like it may be attached to the muscle or tendon underneath. I started taking an antibiotic in case of infection, but it does not feel like any lump I have had in the past.
At what point should I see a Dr and what type of Dr should I go to?
