growth of the meninges

Through the MRI the doctor found an abnormal growth of the meninges.  How serious is it?

Hi.
Meningiomas are common intracranial tumors that originate in the meninges (membrane-like covering) of the brain.  It can compress the underlying brain tissue and cranial nerves to cause symptoms.  It is usually benign, but some are malignant.
It would be best to consult your neurosurgeon for further evaluation and management.
