hair dye

I'm on interferon for stage 3 melanoma.I just chopped my hair off very short because it started falling out & got super thin.I now would like 2 change the color.i know they say not 2 dye or perm your hair while on this drug so my question is.."would ammonia-free hair dye that isn't permanent do the same damage as permanent hair dye? It says it washes out after about 28 day...."

Thanks a bunch for your opinion! I have definitely thought about a wig but have not went shopping for one.I do appreciate you commenting back! i will definitely take your advice & not dye my hair!

Semi-permanent and permanent hair colors BOTH contain chemicals.  I would recommend using NEITHER of these.  Plus, you hair is NOT in the best of condition at this point related to the interferon treatment.  I don't know how crazy you are about this idea, but if you are open to wearing a wig maybe you should try that; NO CHEMICALS TO DEAL WITH, YOU CAN BE ANY COLOR YOU WANT, YOU DON'T HAVE WORRY ABOUT THE COLOR NOT COMING OUT PERFECT and YOU CAN HAVE ANY LENGTH OF HAIR YOU WANT.  Wigs are very MUCH vogue nowadays; PERFECT HAIR DAYS.  :)   Some stores will discount them for you due to your medical situation.
