how long for biopsy results?

Hi everyone.
I had an excisional lymph node biopsy in the neck yesterday and just wanted to ask how long most people wait for results. My follow-up isn't scheduled for two weeks, but if the results are abnormal, wouldn't they call before then? The only thing I know so far is that the ENT said the node he took (submandibular or jugulodigastric) was twice the size he originally thought it would be.

Well.....don't assume NO call before the appointment means the results AREN'T abnormal or that they will call you before the appointment if the results are abnormal.

Usually, the wait is 7-14 days.
