what is hypoechoic lesion  and what does leiomyoma mean

Hypoechoeic means it is not too bright on ultrasound image, it is similar to the surronding tissues, most of the times its benign. Leiomyoma means Fibroid which is a benign growth in the walls of the uterus or cervix or endometrium ( the inner layer of the uterus)
