leukemia

a case of malignant lymphoma taking mabthera and chop chemotheray , after the 3rd dose it developed neutropenia and was tanking neupogen then after 2 monthes it developed acute lymphoblastic leukemia so:
is this case misdiagnosed from the start ?or
can neupogen cause acute lymphoblastic leukemia?
or what the posible explanations

Hi there!

I would not assume this to be a misdiagnosis. This could either be a side effect of neupogen or could have occurred due to unrelated reasons. I would suggest consulting you haem-oncologist for appropriate management.
