levoxylroxine question/thyca patient
what levothyroxine from which pharmaceutical company is closest in compound to Levoxyl?

I have been taking Levoxyl for 11 years post thyroid cancer surgery and it has been a very good drug for me. With the removal of the drug and not knowing when in 2014 it will come back on market I wanted to see if I could get a compound made to duplicate it as close as possible. I have enough to last me till March but I am not pleased with trying to find something else to use after that with might interfere with my suppression as it needs to stays constant without incurring additional side effects. If you can suggest a good compound pharmacy that could make that levoxyl using the same fillers they use that would be what i am looking for. I know that Synthroid is basically the same but it appears to be the fillers that cause most of the problems.

Levoxyl is levothyroxine sodium. Other brand names of the same chemical compound are Synthroid, Levo-T, Tirosint, Unithroid, and Levothroid. However, please do not change prescription medications on your own. Please discuss with your doctor. Take care!
