lung lesion

I had a recent chest x ray done and showed a small lesion on right lung. was told to get ct scan to rule out cancer.
I had a very bad flu chest congestion, yellow phelgm, headache. very weak lasted over a week, was hard to breathe coughing, for a few days, short of breath.  got better took antibotics. chest x ray was about 10 days after I felt better,
Could my lesion be from left over infection, I do have copd. thanks I,am freaking out a little
Thanks Brad

Don't freak out. it might be from the infection or the COPD or it could be cancer. Just relax and wait for the results. dont over stress urself. it isnt good in these situations to run our body down with stress.

I just made a similar posting, see "I'm scared". I have had pneumonia a couple of times which could be the cause of my lesion and luckily it hasn't changed in size over the past 6 weeks but I certainly understand your concerns.  The waiting is the hard part.  I need to see a specialist because the radiologist who read my CT scan can't be completely sure of what my lesion is or isn't. The specialist will schedule either a PET or MRI. I've been reading about both.  I'm not sure how to get the worse case scenario out of your mind. I did start going back to the gym today.  Perhaps the exercise will also be good for my brain. Good luck to you.
