lytic Bone lesion & MRI with out contrast

lytic Bone lesion & MRI with out contrast

I have issue with my left wrist (in movement & it is swollen as well). My orthopedic surgeon identified lytic lession and suggested me MRI without Contrast & Isotope bone scan

Isotope bone scan has following output

Active bone lesion - distal end of left radius
and they recommend Biopsy for further diagnose

whereas MRI test is concerned, drama is going on actually,

MRI specialist insisting that i should have MRI with contrast whereas my Dr twice said , "i shouldn't" . I am in fix what to do, Can any one guide me.

What type of this lesion is  either tumor or Cancer? Definitely i 'll visit as soon i 'll get both reports.

What is your physician's rationale for no contrast?

I don't know and no one will know if this is benign or malignant DEFINITELY until a biopsy is done.

One thing i am afraid of, is Bone biopsy is touch and painful as compare to other biopsy?

It shouldn't be that painful; probably more discomfort than pain, but some patients have a low pain threshold.

I would think imaging would be better with the contrast, but I would go with the Ortho's recommendations.
