My mother is diagnosed with metastatic bone cancer and has been asked to take Inj.Zoldonat 4mg and Inj.Faslodex 250 once a month. Pl advise if this is correct and also the name of the company manufacturing this drugs.

Hi.  The generic name of Zoldonat is Zoledronic Acid.  It's manufactured by NATCO Pharma, a Hyderabad based company. This is a drug which both repairs bone damaged by cancer and prevents further encroachment of the cancer on the bones.  Recent studies indicate that it also prevents metastatic growth in other areas of the body as well.  

Faslodex is the brand name for fulvestrant, which is a type of hormonal therapy for patients with breast cancer who are already resistant to other drugs such as Tamoxifen.  It is manufactured by AstraZeneca.
