I am a mother of three beautiful children. I've done my fair share of partying in my younger years. 3 years ago I lost my father 2 liver cancer and I was his primary caregiver through out his Illness and in doing so it destroyed me mentally.   i started drinking heavily for about 2 years. I only drink now maybe 1or 2 times a month with my husband at dinner.  I was injured in accident and have been taking painkillers for about 8 months. last week I had labs done and my liver function levels were high, so yesterday I had an abdominal ultrasound.  the report said that my liver was without focal lesions. however" the Echotexture is inhomogeneous suggesting diffuse hepatocellular disease of some sort. and the Gallbladder contains Small stones".     And lastly, The IMPRESSION: 1:Diffusely abnormal liver echotexture    2:Cholelithiasis

    What do all these terms mean?  (Echotexture,Inhomogeneous,Diffusely) what are they saying is wrong with me? Thank you soooo much

Based on what you are saying your report says you do not have Liver Cancer, but there is liver disease.  Diffuse means spread out...throughout your liver.  SAME over the counter helps with liver disease as does milk thistle.  First make sure it is ok to take with any other medications you are on.  No one should be on painkillers for 8 months.  Better to find out what is causing the pain and work on that with massage, stretching, etc.  Long term pain medications with elevated liver enzymes are not good.  They could be further damaging your liver.  Sometimes liver cells can regenerate.  When there is sclerosis of your liver from drugs or alcohol it cannot be reversed.  Remember your liver filters toxins out your blood.  Recommend getting off those pain medications, don't take Tylenol, also not good for liver or kidneys.

can you please explain both of the sentences word for word. It would mean so much because I cant get into the specialist for almost 2 weeks. Ive already cut my pain meds in half in 1 day. I was crushed by an almost 200-300lb door.my hips sit 6inches different in height, I have almost no feeling in 1 of my lower legs,the've stuck countless needles in it with no pain response I don't even have ankle-jerk reflex anymore.It breaks my heart that this probably is the cause of all my liver problems right now. could you please break down these words for me?
