mucus stools

Hi,
How are you? What other symptoms are present? If there is just a small amount of mucus in stool, then there is nothing to be worried about, This helps keep the lining of the colon moist and lubricated. However, if there is an increased amount of mucus in stool or if there are presence of other symptoms such as bleeding or a change in bowel habits, it is best that you have this checked by your doctor for proper evaluation and to rule out Crohn's disease, ulcerative colitis and even cancer. Take care and do keep us posted.
