my husband has prostate cancer and he has severe buttock pains

my husband has prostate cancer, he has not had it treated the conventional method. He has severe buttock pain most of the time can you explain the link.

Sounds like referred pain meaning the pain is originating from the prostate and is being referred to the buttock.

Is the cancer localized or metastasized?
