What was your thyroid cancer diagnosis (papillary, medullary, etc?)  What was the treatment (surgical, I-131, etc.).  What is your thyroglobulin level now (if it was papillary or follicular?  Did they do a I-123 or I-131 scan to tell you that "everything is fine" or simply a CT scan?

There is a forum here that deals specifically with thyroid issues (the thyroid disorders community) and many, many of us on there have been through thyroid cancer - including many who live in New York.  They could tell you where you can find great cancer care and where to avoid.

If you can tell me more about your condition, I can help you a bit more.  I respond to PMs better than posts.

take care
