ovarian cancer...

Hi! My mother is 64 years old and was diagnosed with advanced ovarian cancer.  She is a breast cancer survivor for 13 years.  Does anyone have knowledge of the correlation between breast cancer and ovarian cancer? She has been seen by a surgeon and consulted with an oncologist.  They are determining whether to start chemo treatments before surgery.  What does that mean? Anyone??
