scratching a squamous cell skin cancer

scratching a squamous cell skin cancer

Several times during a six month period, I scratched a skin lesion back on the side of my neck, causing it to bleed a little.  At this point, I had it completely excised by a dermotologist.  The path biopsy report shows it to be a superficial (still within the epidermis) SCC with clear margins.  I know that the risk of malignant spread for my lesion is very low, but could I have provoked  metastasis via vascular or lymphatic channels by having scratched it to the point of making it bleed?
