The Mary Jane is usually used mostly for Terminal Cancer. The side effects of it gives the person  an appetite to help gain weight during Chemo. It also puts you into a bit of uphoria that helps deel with the pain. You must remember smoking marijuanna does give you a high risk of lung cancer, Especially during Chemo when the entire body is slowed in cells do to the medicine in Chemo. Just beware do not over do it. My prayers are with you.

When my sister recovered from chemotheraphy for Ovarian Cancer she used pot and was glad she did. She felt that it simply helped her feel a little better from an emotional/
mental perspective. That was back in the late 70s when she was in her 20s.
So, for her, obtaining and smoking weed wasn't a big deal whether for medicinal or recreational purposes.
My mom just completed 12 cycles of chemotheraphy (ABVD) for the treatment of Hodgkin's Disease just last September. But, she's 80 and felt funny about asking about the use of medicinal marijuana. So, she dropped the idea; but, the thought did cross her mind.
Using weed will probably do you no physical harm; and, if you could possibly benefit from it in any other way... why not try it?
Good luck with your chemo.
