squamous cell

Can someone please help me fine some info out about squamous cell lung cancer ,my father is my best friend ,so you see i need to find out some info on this killer to help him .someone please help ..

Squamous cell cancer is found mostly in men and is very closely related to smoking history.
The rate of cancer growth at the site of lesion is higher than other forms of cancer but a respite in this case its spread outside lung is slower than other forms of lung cancer.
Due to amount of daily smoking, tendency to inhale this smoke and duration of the smoking there is constant irritation of the lung cells and slowly there is conversion into Sqamous cells in this place.  Lung loses its natural cells and cancer develops and with average smoking there is a 10fold risk and with heavy smokers there is 20fold risk.
Cessation of smoking for 10 years reduces the risk to control levels.
Cough, weight loss and chest pain are major symptoms and lung cancer is one of the most aggresive (aggressive) cancers seen in the whole lot of cancers.
