squishy swelling

all of a sudden a couple of months ago my shoulders started to hurt really bad, then it settled into my rotary cuffs, next i noticed swelling above my collar bone on both sides, about 2 inches and swollen and squishy, they have gotten bigger, my arms hurt alot and my neck. does this sound familiar to anyone?

Hi,
Does your work involve lifting weights or stress or pressure on your arms or neck? Do you sit in front of the computer for long hours? Try some neck and arm exercises with some OTC painkillers. This should help you. You need to see a physician for a clinical examination of the swelling above your collar bones.

thank you so much for writing me back, i am not working at this time but my job was in a video store for almost 9 yrs,the only thing i can think is the reaching up on the walls for all the vhs tapes before we went to all the dvds, the swelling above my collar bone on both sides are getting bigger also.i dont spend a great deal of time on my computer, because sitting to long causes a creepy and painful feeling in arms neck and back, like something is out of place, takes a few minutes to pass, i have a nurse practitioner and dont see him often.

Hi,
I think it would be best to go for a clinical examination. Ask your physician if you require physiotherapy or physical therapy. Try some warm compressus and OTC painkillers but only a physician can give you a confirmed diagnosis about the swelling on clinical evaluation.
