I am a cancer patient with stage 4 colon cancer.  Waiting is the worst.  I have always felt worse for my care givers than myself for what they go through.  Let friends and family help you when they offer.  It helps them cope and will help you.  If you feel overwhelmed by people calling you, create a blog to keep everyone updated and ask them to check it daily.  I started one on blogspot.com  Keep strong

Hello, My father was rushed to the hospital june 19 and had a massive brain tumor and emergency surgery. What i can tell you is, its not the end and believe in miracles. Stay positive and lean on loved ones. Your husband will need you to be strong for him and you need to be strong for your family. The medical world has progressed so far in so few years. In this difficult time I can tell you that a positive mental attitude is one of best medicines. Also always get second opinions, the original doctors wanted to give my father chemo and radiation right away. We went for a second opinion and that was not needed at the the time. My thoughts and prayers are with you, your husband and your family. Also take notes at the doctors visits as the influx of info will be overwhelming. be diligent and dont take no for an answer, always ask questions even if the doctors seem irritated with you. its your right.

hi there, well we were both at home today and i feel it was the longest day of my life, this morning we spoke about our feelings , he is more worried about how i am going to cope when treatments happen and dealing with the kids, we are very lucky and we have a large network, however i am the type of person to reculse becuase it is to tough, but i understand that this is not going to go away,  it is also nice to keep in touch with a network online.

my thanks allways
