uterine cancer

I have been having problems with my cycle for the past year; not mensturating, mensturating once every few months,lots of lower pelvic pain very sharp and gripping pain stops me in my tracks, bit of spotting here and there until Jan 2nd 2010 I started bleeding very heavily and still has not stopped.

I have been to gyno about this previously July '09 who said I had a 4cm cyst on my right ovary but was quite normal, pap was normal, ultrasound was normal, blood work was fine so he thought it was just dysfunctional uterine bleeding, which is doctor speak for i dont know why this is happening to you.This bleeding is so heavy and I have also lost 3 approx tennis ball sized clots and dozens of smaller ones (half a golf ball size) over the 19 days I have been bleeding. I have to change my sanitary napkin every hour or twice an hour. At first i thought its just a heavy period because I havnt had a decent one for so long but it was getting heavier and the clots started.

I went to GP on 18th he tried to prescribe me a pill to stop bleeding but I said no you will need to do better than that I want to know why Im bleeding so he decided to send me for ultrasounds and bloods. The blood work was ok starting to get a bit anemic was only thing noted. My ultrasound was results were scary tho. The doc rang me at work asked me to come in staight away I was Sh*ting myself. Results of ultrasound....Free fluid in pelvic region was one thing and the other was a mass in the uterus 1cm by 2cm approx. (no cysts on ovaries now)The doctor said I need urgent referal to gyno (the other gyno has retired) to have further investigations a hysteroscopy and depending on what is found to go from there. I asked GP what this mass could be and he said it could be a number of things but didnt want to speculate!!! So im just wondering what the mass in my uterus could be and what the free fluid in pelvic region means? What could cause all these problems with my cycle and why?Im frightened. Could this mass be uterine cancer?

I did a little investigating for you. Of course I'm so doctor but I read that the fluid on the pelvis could be from a cyst breaking open, or a sign of uterine cancer, or it could be alot of other things. Don't miss your appointment because timing is very important. You have already had your beautiful family so if it means getting the uterus out to save your life, so be it, right? I'm hoping I'm really far off, and it won't be anything that drastic but you asked so I tried to find out for you. Good Luck and God Bless-aheart
