what about low Neutrophils

what about low Neutrophils

I have been sick for two years after a car accident in sept 09 they found a small nodule with irregular borders in my upper right lobe of my lung. so the every 3 month follow up CT scans then of course I keep getting sick so the CT scans look possibly worse because lymph system fighting flue, pnemonia (pneumonia) ect.  so sent to oncologist and my Neutrophils low monocytes high, eosinophil high total protein high, CRP high MPV low. I have several other minor issues, and so still the waiting game of another 3 months to redo bloodwork and CT scan.  I have had 5 CT scans sense sept, and a PET but because of where my nodules are in my lung (they found more but some were due to pneumonia, then they found larger masses in the lymph nodes under my right heart border but not attatched to the heart. But because they are deep in the chest cavity, we don't want to biopsy unless we have to as both the lung and lymph nodes are in places that would be a major surgery to biopsy. I get to the point of forgetting about all of it then go through the stress every 3 months. What has your doctors determined (I haven't read much of your posts yet) any info would be greatly appreciated. I also had precancerous polyps removed from my colon in sept 09 and they also found a 4 mm and 6mm kidney stone in the left pole, not sure what the kidney poles are. Can all these things be related, in the chest they found bilateral and aprical scarring and broncheotosis,Thanks I am just so tired all the time of lowgrade sick feeling like the flue and soaking night sweats. I have missed so much work I had to get done my job of 18 years.  I'm starting to wonder if I'm just a hyperchondriac and not use to getting old (49) Should I just stop all these doctor visits and get use to this? one gross thing is I'm getting rashes that turn into dark and light moles some have red sores next to them and then a bunch of flat moles with hyper and no pigmentation.  I can't wear a bikini this year I guess :)

I can't believe no one has replied to you.  I hope by now you have gotten some relief!  Soaking night sweats and flu like symptoms aren't good, neither are nodules in your lungs.  Has anyone suggested a bronchoscopy (through the nose, down the trachea and into the lungs) or even a sputum biopsy?  After two years, I think you deserve an answer as to what is wrong with you. I don't think the precancerous colon polyps or the kidney stones are related to the lung nodules.  Do you smoke? If so, quit now!  Do you have decent health insurance?  Can you get a second opinion from an oncologist?  Let me know how you are doing:)

Ask your doctor if you could have Sarcoidosis. Sarcoidosis sometimes is presented by growths in the lungs, liver, and other parts of the body. It is not necessarily a life threating disease.  It can attack any organ, but mostly the lungs and liver. Sometimes it is mistaken, for cancer, until a biopsy is done.  Most people live fine with it unless they grow in vital spots of certain organs.  I had one removed from the lower lid of my left eye.  I thought it was just a stye, but when the pathology came back , my doctor said it was a " non caseating granuloma" giant cell. So he asked if anyone had ever told me that I had sarcoidosis.  So I am still in the investigating stage right now with a lot of test myself for this and some other problems. But do ask one of your doctors and see what they say?
Let me know what happens.

Good Luck.
