women with skin cancer - question?

Since May is national skin cancer awareness month, a publication I work for is trying to find women to share their stories about skin cancer. My father had skin cancer and I think this is really important to educate people through understanding other people's stories.

I am looking for women (especially those who may have missed their own diagnosis) willing to share their story, but I'm having a hard time finding appropriate places to look.

Does anyone know where I can begin to find women who would like to share their story?

I am very aware of skin cancer. My mother had some basal cell cancers removed, but that is the only history. I have had two basal cell cancers removed from my leg. I realised there was a change in colour. I was given the option of using a cream, but should have known better and had them excised promptly. I was diagnosed with a melanoma which was called subungual, that is under the thumb nail. I realised there was discolouration for 6 months prior to seing a Doctor, but did not think of it being a melanoma. They do grow in unusual spots, soles of the feet and areas which sun exposure normally would be a problem. I advise people not to let any changes go unreported, as this is serious business.
