zelbroaf just approved fda

A new drug has been fully approved and is now aval world wide called "Zelbroaf "  its in pill form and works fast and goes direct to the Melanoma cancer cells and kills them, without harming other cells or parts of the body.  (so they say)  this in its testing form was called the B-Raff pills or Treatment.  I was put on this treatment for 21days taking 8 pills per day for my Melanoma cancer -I had no real side effects happen for at least 20 days , on the 21st day I broke out in a Rash and Hives itching bad. everywhere - Dr's then took me off the treatment for 5 to 6 days, rash hives cleared up - thus was restarted on 6pills per day doseage lowered. upon the 3rd day of treatment my lympnodes started swelling and hurting 3x larger than normal - I got sick with sweating and fever and also palpations started (bad) and blood pressure readings were up and down - while heart rate pulse was rapid at 95 to 110 bpm  - and also broke out in another rash again.  I called Genentech mfg of the drug , and reported the problems , and was told to stop taking it now !  due to problems ,the RN at the Genentech center told me , we found that some people get what is called QT to there hearts - that messes up the eletrical responce of the heart -thus palpations and chest pains happen. / I then called my oncologest and reported the problems , like always keep on the meds dont stop them !   go to the ER ..  or see a cardio doctor - I ended up in the ER room for 12 hours  next , the Cardio doctor who worked on me said , clearly sir its the treatment pills that harmed you, and why in the world would your oncologest put you on this treatment ,if you had high blood pressure problems and paplations before ?  you stand at a high risk to be damaged or could die from this ..  

After reading the paitents rights pages printed about the treatment I signed - it says this drug only works on a few people , and if you have any heart problems you shouldnt take it .

Iv been off the treatment now for 5 days,  and so far have been feeling better each day off it - but still find myself wakeing up in the morrnings sweating , and having super spiked high blood pressure readings and some chest pains going on ..  
for that the cardio doctor gave me clonidine half a pill and verapamil 40mg per night  it works most times fine .. but seems sometimes be overrun by the treatment or toxins within me ..

In note to others with Melanoma -  be carefull what doctors give you , they may talk it up , and say how good it is and how wonderfull it works !  but always remember the % rate is small for those who can take it ..  or tollerate it
and if you have a any heart conditions or high blood pressure problems.. do not take the risk !  if any treatment has the word heart in it .. its bad news !
I found out the hard way .  

I am now seeking - new treatment and care , and no more test mule treatments ! as I have insurance and sorces to pay co pays so on ..  do not let Doctors talk you into a free treatment , that is not fda approved !  the risk factors are way to high !!    there are plenty of other treatments out there ,that are approved and work fine.  

My take is , the Risk is not worth the cure sometimes..   if you do take the treatments - always get checked first for allergic reactions and tollerance to the drug first ... make sure you can take it without problems.   remember only a small % rate of people can tollerate these test mule drugs.  

This drug works wonders its fast direct , but needs to be sent back to fix the heart condition problems first, and a few other things that cause problems.   if those were fixed  they would have something that is safe to take ..  right now even with fda approval  it is not safe !

let update who ever cares on this.. the medications are priced at 20,000.00 per 15 pills -  since they were fda approved.  im trying to find a sorce to pay for these pills totaly. but so far nothing is aval.   my doctor is slow to put me on another treatment - so im changeing doctors soon ! asap !!!   we must all remember with melanoma cancer - there are meny new treatments out there aval for trail runs - free  some safe some not ..you have to read the fine print and ask questions loud ! and talk to others on the treatment first !  just dont take it - unless you know first what it does to you.  I think this drug should be taken back off the market and made diffrent to stop rapid heart beats  and not mess with the heart - or cause muscular pains and problems as it does.   this works well in clearing melanoma but only on a high dose of 8 pills per day - if you drop down it wont work well and will cause adverse side effects to happen and sickness
