Trying to rule out heart causing shortness of breath.
started 1 year ago. just mild, constant, rest or no rest. smoked for 5 years, but quit, was college runner. Just a feeling like if you dont breathe for 10 secs, feeling of needing more air, burning, suffication. Can still walk, run, lift heavy wieghts, but uncomfortable, driving me crazy feeling.
no one is helping me. Doc said maybe asthma and gerd combo, or in my head. I do have gerd, hitial hernia. But have had pulmonary function tests, ct scan w dye, chest xray, all 100 percent normal.
had 3 ekg, all normal

25 male, gd weight, resting BMP 55-65, no family heart issues BP 120/80
recent echo
They said normal sized, gd structured vavles ect.. but a couple things stood out to me
-Stroke Vol 113 Ml. is this to high, and if so what could cause?
-aortic valve is trileaflet  ?
-trace mitral and tricuspid regurgitation, is this bad for my age?
-unable to estimate right ventrical pressure  could I have Pulmonary hypertension?
-left ventricular ejection fraction 60%

basiclly, I wanted to know if any of these results indicate a heart or pulm hypertension problem that could be causing this weird SOB sensation. also, I may add pulse oxoygen 100%, MVV on pulm function 110%, all gd
just want to rule out heart, so I can look for something else.

If interested here is an earlier post of mine to a different doc on here a couple months ago:

Hello
It sounds like a very challenging situation your facing and that you would just like to sort it out. In terms of your heart evaluation, have you had any type of event monitoring like a holter? A stress echo or nuclear medicine test. There are no obvious findings on the study that you posted. If you had evidence of pulmonary hypertension, certainly if it is severe enough to cause symptoms at rest, they should be able to see it on echo. Basically, you have the heart of a 25 year old.

Chest discomfort has multiple etiologies. Perhaps one of the stress tests will provide some helpful info for your cardiologist.

Im not sure why you dont think that hiatal hernia could be the cause of this sensation?
