Aggressive cat

I adopted my cat when she was 3 months old and that had been about a year ago she's always been very playful but mean..she is always so aggressive I've tried everything to calm her down. She has a ton of  toys and 2 dogs she loves to play with. I just can seem to get her to calm down....and suggestions? Thanks in advance

You have to work very slowly when trying to change a cats behavior.  Im no expert but this is what I would try.  Find something that she is interested in like a treat. It shouldnt be a toy or anything that will excite her.  Once a day give her the treat and pet her very gently on the back close to her tail.  Gradually you should be able to pet her back further up away from her tail.  Be sure to make it fairly light strokes.  But only touch her until she starts to turn around.  Over time she should begin to enjoy just being petted.  As you work up to the back of her head you can scratch behind her ears and gently message her neck.  I have tamed many wild outdoor cats this way.  But dont actually play with her until she lets you pet her without being aggressive first.  Then dont "rough house" with her or she may fall back into bad habits.  If you get her to the point that you can pet her and have her be calm, then you can sometimes teach a cat to let you hold them.  This can take a long time too.  Never try to rush the process.  To make a cat allow you to hold them, first you pick up the cat for like a few seconds.  Then put them down immediately.  The idea is to put the cat down BEFORE it starts to try to get away from you.  Cats dont like to be confined.  It upsets them if they cant get away.  Gradually you should be able to add a few more seconds before the cat starts to try to get away.  And after a long time of this holding them and gradually adding more and more time, the cat will usually decide that being held isnt so bad after all.  I did this with my oldest cat.  She wouldnt let anyone hold her after she got to be a year old and now she begs to have you hold her.  Good Luck!

Yes she's attacking people no one can pet her without being scratched or bit, she hates to be held. She is very active but she's fine playing with other animals just not people

Can you provide some more specifics about her behavior.  Aggression and a high activity level are 2 very different things.  If she plays with the dogs that sure doesn't sound like she is aggressive. How is she mean?  Is she attacking other animals or people or just highly active?
