Anal secreation from my cat

Recently my cat has had some sort of anal secreations. Sometimes it is kind of white and sometimes it is kind of poopy. It does not smell very nice either! is this something that I need to take her to the vet for or is there something I can do for her at home. She doesn't seem to be uncomfortable it is just a little messy. Any suggestions?

Are you describing her feces?  Or is it possible that you are seeing some exudate from her anal glands?

My gut feeling is that you are seeing the secretions from her anal sacs and that she might need to have her veterinarian take a look to make sure that they aren't infected or inflammed for some reason.
