Bandage or no?

Bandage or no?

My Cat has a hematoma and I took him to the vet who cut his ear open and drained it and put a cone like bandage on his ear with the cut left open.  Unfortunatly my cat will not leave the bandage on.  This was done 2 days ago and he has not had the bandage on sence.  I check his ear alot.  It doesn't appear to be bleading or filling back up.  Every time i look it appears dry.  Did i luck out or should insist to my vet to rewrap his ear a different way?

its going to be very hard to keep a bandage of any sort on a cat....IMO as long as he isn't licking and rubbing at the ear and making it bleed or irritated than I think leave well enough alone.
If he does begin to paw at it than I would recommend you talk to your Vet and perhaps a cone worn around the neck(hate those things) will be necessary.

I will send you some info on hematomas. good luck to kitty((>^.^<))
