Bob better, Butters being aggressive-SOS!

Bob's just about better now, but Butters is suddenly behaving aggressively towards him!! This isn't due to the vet smell, Bob's been home from the vet for days now. It just started arbitrarily last night. What I suspect is Butters is feeling left out because first Spirit was very ill and center of attention, the Bob was even worse and we've been all over him. I thought I was paying attention to Butters but maybe not enough? So after 2 unprovoked attacks (which we handled very calmly and I talked Butters "down" and assured him he wasn't in trouble) I gave him lots of extra special attention. Any thoughts/help? Has anyone used one of the "calming" collars-they seemed to be more for destructive or anxious behavior but I'll try it, they're cheap enough if it will help.

Hey Staci, you know, I think some people have had success while others haven't.  It couldn't hurt just to buy one and see how it goes.  I believe there are plug-ins for those, too, but I could be wrong.  So glad to hear everyone has calmed down for now.

Thanks-that's what I thought. My vet gave me a little brochure that suggested a jingle collar for the naughty cat so the victim cat could always hear him coming-i tried that  but Butters kept trying to lick the collar off so i decided to remove it even though he really looked very handsome in it!

We've been giving Butters lots of extra attention and pampering and such since I posted this and haven't had an incident in a few days now-we think he was just jealous at the extra attention the others had been getting while ill. Still interested in any thoughts on those calming collars, though-Butters has a history of chasing Spirit that we're hoping to permanently curb.
