yah i have a 4 year old cat she startd two lose hair about 2 mounths ago im worryd a about it
Hey I have an older cat, he's 15 yrs old now and I guess I didn't realize that he should be the only cat in the family with no other animals.
Funny how that is, whether you feel she/he is lonely and you think they need a companion, perhaps yes and perhaps no.
So its been 5 months, gee I got BlackJack when he was only 2 months old and Simba same age, brothers from the same litter. Being they were just babies, my older cat didn't think too keen on them, because they totally stressed him out big time. I just cried for Tippy how was I supposed to know that maybe this wasn't a good idea.
I had to decide who to keep and who to give away, So Simba went to a good home, still I cried my eyes out that I had to give him up, but I knew he would have a better chance at a new home.
Tippy finally got better and BlackJack was the little pain in the neck that I've always prayed for that would be my cuddle cat, waking me up at odd hours for some lovins.
Tippy watches ** and see's the things he does, he knows how to get my attention when he wants it.
I've had to on many a different occassion to separate them both, can't get u in the morning without the usual I'm pissed off, get away from me, hissy fit that Tippy keeps telling me or ** that he doesnt want to be bothered.
These are my children, these 2 are my Mom's grand-kitties and I try every now and then to get them into see my Mom in the nursing home. I take only one at a time, so as not to stress the other one out and we know whom I'm speaking of.
I do time out with the both of them, that way they feel I'm addressing their needs.
I guess for your cats issues is to keep them apart, spend more time with her when the other one isn't around.
I've heard where other cats just up and leave, never hearing from them again.
I just hope this is not the case for your cat, I guess talking to someone who is a behavorial specialist like that for dogs, but only for cats.
I've checked with a few vets in the area and most of them recommend to separate them inside the house and see if that makes a difference. Well it doesn't most of the time she can't even be approached to get her inside the house, she freaks out and hisses and pees. Is there a medication or any other method that I can turn to?
Ugh... after five months it doesn't sound like shes going to warm to the little guy.
It seems like a VERY extreme reaction to me. Have you had a vet check her out? Stress from a serious change in the home can bring on a sudden attack of a previously symptom dormant condition that could lead to a severe personality change.
