Cat got wet during spayed recovery

Hi, my 1 year old cat Fiona got spayed the other day and was doing just fine. But, she accidentally splashed herself with her water. The general cat care sheet I got from the vet specifically said do not to get cat wet during recovery etc. So, I made sure she was completely dry and did not lick the incision. Will she be ok? Or should I take her back to  the vet?

Thank you guys so much! I did call the vet and they said she'll be ok and just to keep an eye out. Today my little kitty is doing just fine and it looks like everything worked out! :)

I agree with Jade that you don't want to let her sit in a basin of water that will soften the stitches or wound, but just getting wet should not be a problem...If you are worried, your vet can calm your fears with a short phone call.

Not related to the surgical procedure, but my MewMew had to have a bath once and I dried her very well with the lowest setting on my hair dryer.  Just be sure to not have it on High Hot and keep the dryer moving over her fur, not holding it in one spot...After the noise of the dryer turned on and she stopped freaking out, she actually really liked it...

Hello and welcome...

I believe that care sheet means not to DRENCH kitty...like bathe her.  If you've dried her incision; she's not licking, then I'm sure she'll be fine.  It sounds like you're keeping an excellent eye on her.  I don't think you need to worry.
