Cat in heat for almost 3 weeks?

My cat was in heat for over a week even though i gave her a bath she wouldn't stop. i guess the day i left(or a couple after) she stopped, i was gone for a week and the day i came home she went back into heat, and i've been home 3-4 days(since saturday, its tuesday..well technically wednesday now, it's 12:36am). what can i do? she wont stop her meowing really loud and it's driving us crazy now. is there anything else that will work to make her stop? she can't go outside because 1. she won't come back...last time she got out i had to trick her to come near me and grab her, after 2 weeks it finally worked) and 2. we can't afford her to get pregnant...there's actually a male cat constantly sitting outside my bedroom window meowing...i think that's why she wont stop. any advice possible will be greatly appriciated..thanks for even reading my semi long question(sorry bout that).

It is the male cats outside that are causing your inside cat to go into heat.  The males spray around the outside of your home and your female can smell it in the house.  How do I know?  Been through it myself.  I was so shocked that my inside cat was constantly in heat however the vet told me it was the male cats' spray that makes the females go into heat. It is so strong that walls make no difference.   Lovely.  I was able to find a low cost clinic to get her spayed by doing a search for "$40.00 spay clinics" on google.  You can actually get a male fixed plus rabies shot for the 40 bucks but the female was $63.00 which included her rabies.  Great deal.  Good luck.

no need to cool her down honey, its her hormones not a body heat issue......yes please have her spayed, for her comfort and to not take the chance of an unwanted pregnancy and kittens to raise....:-)

yes a female will continually go in and out of heat until they are bred OR preferably spayed, if money is an issue talk to a Vet clinic about a payment schedule. and bathing will do nothing to help her,she cannot help being in a heat cycle this is normal...bathing won't do a thing, I hope you aren't trying to use this as a punishment? Please have her spayed :-)

My best advice to you is to have her spayed asap!  This is the only way you will stop her from behaving this way, and keep the males from stalking her. - Blu
