I believe that my cat ate some ribbon a few days ago I don't know how much she ate, I know she has vomitted some of it up that I have gotten away from her and threw away. But she has not been eating very much, and last night she was trying to vomit but she would get something half way up and swollow it back down. Now she is sleeping peacefully. Is there a way to make her vomit up the rest or will it pass? I am on disablitiy and it is very difficult for me to take her to the vet.
There's really not much you can do. If it's still okay, it's probably past any danger. Cats eat stuff. Dogs eat stuff. Babies eat stuff! :)
Usually, they process it or throw it up. If it's been a few days the ribbon is long gone, one way or the other! If it seems like it's stomach is upset you can give it a 1/4 of a feeding syringe of pep-to bismol, but they REALLY hate it, so don't do it unless he's vomiting lots!
My cats have eaten many random things as well, ribbins, rubberbands, anything. The only other thing you should do is make sure she is still going number 2 regularly. There is a chance if she did not throw up all the ribbon it could clog her intestines, so if you notice she is not going for a few days, try to find a way to take her to the vet, however, this is not too likely to happen, but still possible.
