Thanks for all your help!! You have really helped us out.
It should, unless it's a problem not covered by the medication, which is possible. But usually these things turn out to be one of the OTC treatable conditions.
So just go and get some OTC worming stuff? I think I saw some at Meijer the other day... but that should help?
Well, you could take her to the vet, but for worms it's not necessary. Just dose him with the medication (you should do it regardless, cats pick up worms like children pick up candy!) For OTHER parasites, you need to do a vet visit.
Thanks. I'm going to try the hairball thing. That was my thought as well. She been using the liter box and everything else seems fine. Can i just take her to the vet to check for worms? I've never had this happen before. Thanks for you advice!!
If she's not sleeping, it sounds like a hairball reaction. I'd try any of the hairball remedies you can get at the pet store. A lot of the time they actually do bring a little bit up but they just swallow it again (some fun to think about, huh?) :)
Is there anything else wrong with her? Litter box-wise? Runny nose, eyes? If it's a recent problem, it could be a cold or flu.
Has she been wormed? That COULD affect her activity level actually. I'd do a worming as well just in case. They will dry heave as if with a hairball in this case, trying to bring up the worms...
