Cat's Attitude

I've had cats in my life, all loveable etc. we have a black & white female cat, +/- 5 years old. Very grumpy, don't like papering etc. She really only accept my son. He can do as he please and she just love it. When he's not around she starts crying and when she realizes that he's not there she's like a coward. Come into the bathroom wanting to be rubbed etc. Yet my other cat is the opposite. All my cats use to love me. We got her at the age of one year and had two other cats. She never accepted the other male but likes the current male. She even get grumpy with him at times. What could the reason be for this behaviour. Non of my cats like meat or fish, the'll occasionally nimble on chicken, well manared and very adorable.

Cats have preferences just like people do, both in other cats, and in people.  If every cat were the same, they wouldn't be near as fulfilling as a pet and family member.

I have a cat who has always been my particular baby.  My husband jokes that when I am gone for long enough, she will tolerate being with him if it means the difference between getting patted and not getting any pats, but that the minute I'm home again, she kicks sand into his face in her rush to leave  him and come to me.  Maybe your son's personality is simply more to her taste, or maybe she likes the way he scratches her.  Each person has a different approach to cats, so it isn't that surprising that each cat would have a different opinion of which person he or she likes best.
