thank every I was beginning to think that Whiskey was just weird lol.
Whiskey Drools when he is very happy or comfortable. He was at the vet about a week ago and no problems.
Our kitty Calamity Jane Grey (11/1982 - 03/2004) would just, absolutely gush when she was really getting into being petted...you would see large beads of drool form along her "lip" line.
Her sister, Queen Victoria Grey (11/1982 - 05/2000) would do the same, save her nose would run. We called it "nose drool."
Most every cat we've had has "moistened" to some degree, either at the mouth or nose.
Akira drools when she is especially happy.
Oh, true-what are the drooling circumstances?
Oh yes as others have stated, they can drool like a faucet . I have 8 cats. Sometimes 1 or two have to be on meds. Most of the time they get a little nauseas from the taste. Can't say I blame them. One thing I didn't see was poisoning. If a cat say nibbles on a toxic plant the drooling startes almost right away. It might be time to have whiskey examined by a vet
My cat Bob drools when he's snugging and "fluffing" with his paws and really getting into the moment-it was a first for us too. We have to wipe him off when he's done. He looks euphoric when it happens, sill boy!
I know a cat named Niagra because he drools like a waterfall when he purrs.
They can drool when they are happy and also if there is a dental issue happening like with a bad tooth or mouth infection.
