Cats and Roaches

Why is it all the cats I've seen so far who try to kill cockroaches will shake their paw almost like they're disgusted when they paw at them and then stop and walk off?

Lucky owners! Wish mine was this way...
Loreena eat then - and I got worried about the roach could be poisoned or bring her some disease.
Except when is the flying type - that one Loreena allows to go away and disturb myself since I cannot spray insect killers near her and the babies.
